Third Iveco Stralis Tractor Unit for YDS (UK) Limited
YDS (UK) Limited, have taken delivery of their third Iveco Stralis Tractor Unit from Brighouse and Manchester based Northern Commercials. All three of the haulage companies’ new vehicles will be used for general haulage nationwide and will be using tri-axle curtainside trailers at a gross vehicle weight of up to 44 tonnes.
New Tyre Labelling Requirements Come In to Play in November 2012
As of the 1st November 2012 the EU Tyre Labelling Regulation 1222/2009 (Article 6) states that should a customer purchasing a new vehicle (be it a truck, van, car, trailer or bus) be offered a choice of tyres at the point of purchase then they should be presented with all necessary information on elements such as fuel efficiency, wet grip and external noise.

UK fuel prices crippling the freight industry, shown by FTA research
Freight Transport Association research shows that thanks to soaring fuel prices, the UK freight industry operating costs have reached all time highs. The cost of running a 44 tonne articulated vehicle reaches £1,900 per year thanks to prices in diesel alone between April 2011 and April 2012.
